You know the old saying, “If you’ve got the money, I’ve got the time.”  Or the very similar notion of having the money but NOT the time, and vice-versa.  Well, now that I’m brimming with free time (heavy emphasis on FREE), I’ve decided to take care of some things around the house that have been on the old back burner for awhile.

As I told you about in an earlier post, I’m addicted to those home improvement shows.  One of them, “Cash in the Attic,” involves calling in an auctioneer, selling off some unused or no longer needed household stuff, and taking the cash to do something the homeowners DO want:   a rose garden, a new dinette set, whatever.

I think I’m ready now to call a local auctioneer I know pretty well and have him come by to assess my treasures.  I’m hoping to raise enough money to replace my kitchen floor.  Stay tuned; this one should be interesting.  (I’m not very good at parting with my stuff…)
