Have you seen the commercials for those little magnets that are supposed to make getting your necklace fastened easier? Do those things remind you of the Clapper or the Chia Pet? I’m especially appalled at the free gift offer — necklace extension chains!
I must admit, my mother always made sure major purchases in our household (and most minor ones, for that matter!) were of high quality. I can still hear her telling me, “You might save some money buying cheap stuff up front, but it’ll cost you in the long run when you have to replace it.” My mom was a very wise woman.
That’s why those magnet things annoy me, I guess. Why not go to Reeds Jewelers or some other reputable source and buy a good necklace that fits your neck properly in the first place? You’ll get a better clasp, and real gold won’t turn your neck green, either.

hey I think these are for older people who have a hard
time reaching around and fastening their necklaces
Well I messed that one up. I meant to say it was too hard for them to reach and work the clasps. You know when you get older you can’t do everything we use to!!
