Regular readers of Julie’s Journal have seen the interview meme going on. Well, I asked Jules to “Hit Me,” and she did!
Here are the questions she asked me, and my answers to them.
1. Are you finding it easy or hard to adjust to being home all day now?
Both. That rabidly anti-morning person in me is in love with sleeping until it’s light outside, a concept totally alien to all morning drive radio personalities. And blogging has kept my mind active, so I’m certainly not bored, what with all my new friends and all. But I do miss my good friends at the old Radio Ranch, and having an actual paycheck is certainly preferable to the unemployment compensation. That just doesn’t go far enough!
2. Did you ever get a battery for your cordless phone?
YES!!! In fact, here’s the information: It’s a GE phone, and the battery is a Sanyo, model 16425-GES-PCFO3, which is 3.8 volts. And now if it ever goes out again, I can use one of the floor model PCs on sale to call up the blog for this techo-stuff while I’m at the store! Hee-hee!
3. Did you and Marisa ever figure out who the ghost in your house is?
Ooh, that’s a tough one! Our best guess, though, is that it’s George’s daughter. Marisa’s grandparents lived where she does now before his family died in that car crash, so she knew and played with the little girl who lived here. The really spooky part is that apparently, I look and act just like her! (I’m not totally sure I act like a 12-year-old, but OK….)
4. Is Power Surge going to be recording a CD and going on tour anytime soon?
Thanks for asking this one. We already have recorded a CD, and I’m happy to report that the first pressing is a sell-out! If anybody wants one, let me know, and I’ll see to it that you get it just as soon as we get some more made. (They’re $12 each, plus whatever it takes to mail it to you.) As for the tour, the farthest we’ve managed to travel so far is under 100 miles, singing in churches whenever they will have us. But hey, you never know. We would love to tour!
5. Do you have any regrets? (this is just a great question for everyone)
I was going to be flippant and just say,”of course,” but actually, I do, and it’s a pretty big one. I had gone home on the Sunday afternoon that my mom died, and when my sister called me to say it wasn’t looking good, it took me too long to get back up there. We left immediately, of course, but she passed about 15 minutes before I arrived. Dad died on a Sunday, too, in the morning. I got a 911 on my cell phone while sitting in the choir loft at church. That was hard.
Now that you’re done reading my responses and you want to keep it going….
1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.â€
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your weblog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
Thanks, Julie! You ask really good questions!

Very interesting answers! The one about your parents choked me up. Here’s a {{HUG}} just because.
Thanks, Julie. They were really special people. I miss them both a lot.
How scary is it that I kind of knew the answers before I read them?
Hey, at least you know I’m not lying!
