My Kingdom For A Roto-Tiller!

I’m really winded right now. Every year, I borrow my brother Dave’s tiny tiller (not a Mantis, but the same size) to churn up my little garden plot, but for some reason, I never managed to connect with him about that this season. Diana (Power Surge’s tenor and a life-long friend) gave me a bag full of onion sets after church today, so of course, since there’s nothing quite as good as fresh veggies from the back yard, I decided to just break out the spade and dig up the plot the old-fashioned way.

Why is it that 40-somethings occasionally decide to act as if they’re still 20-somethings? I’m feeling a lot more like a 70-something at this point, but I should be better as soon as I can get my back straightened up again.

No, I didn’t get the onions planted; that’s a job for tomorrow. But at least when I go out to do it, I’ll be greeted with nice, soft soil. I love spring!
