At 5′11″ and 138 pounds, I don’t have to worry about weight loss. Never did. I’ve always been blessed with a high metabolism rate. I can’t tell you how happy that makes me.
Have you done any research into the diet pill industry lately? We’ve all heard the horror stories about ephedra and the high-profile athlete deaths connected to taking the herb for an added energy boost. Now, there’s hoodia all over the place. One product I read about recently actually contains both ingredients.
The thing I find most disturbing about the whole diet craze is that too many greedy, cynical people are peddling some very expensive snake oil under the “all natural” label. Unlike the tightly regulated “drug” category, nutritional supplements are readily available without a prescription, and desperate people can easily fall into the trap of believing that if a little is good, a lot is better.
If you’re taking diet supplements to lose weight, please be careful. I understand the desire to shed some pounds, especially for health reasons, but do your homework, and be responsible. There really is no such thing as an instant fix.
