Well, Route 2’s closure became even a little more interesting today when a truck driver disregarded the directive to detour into Ohio and wrecked on the back road, blocking traffic in both directions for hours.  It was literally a case of “you can’t get there from here.”  And this was only the first full day for the road to be closed!

The powers that be in this state always blame the topography for the really crappy roads we all endure, but that argument lacks merit for two big reasons.  First, the closer you get to Charleston, the capitol city, the better the roads — and second, that’s an even more mountainous area than we have up north here!

Oh, well.  This too shall pass, I suppose….  But I really hope those truckers pay attention!
