Have you heard about Joshua Maudlin yet?  He’s the 19-year-old father charged with injury to a child for — get this — nuking his two-month old daughter!

The story comes out of Texas, where police said the baby was burned when Daddy put her in a microwave.   She has internal injuries and third-degree burns and is listed in critical condition.  Police say Mauldin later confessed and said he was frustrated.  But wait — it gets even better!  Mauldin reportedly told investigators that God had ordered him to go to Galveston to look for work as a minister.

Are you kidding me?  Where do we FIND these people?  He thinks HE’S frustrated?!

Even though I generally believe in our system of justice, a case like this one comes along every now and then, convincing me that some people deserve a more direct approach.  And I’m pretty sure that’s not what God had in mind for that poor child.  Sheesh!
