Well, we’re just about ready to go to camp for a few days.  It’ll be a much-needed break, and I’m really looking forward to it.

Since this is the first trip of the season, though, there’s quite a bit of extra stuff to do:  gather up the linens and toiletry items we plan to leave up there, stock up on paper plates and pet supplies,  grab a bunch of big trash bags, and of course, pack up those tools.

The campsite is in Ohio, and it’s affected by the firewood quarantine because of emerald ash boring beetles.  That pretty much stinks, because my choices are now limited to foraging or paying exhorbitant prices since I can’t bring along my own.  Fortunately, unless somebody has already helped himself, I still have some wood left from last year.  It should be nicely seasoned by now!  And I don’t have to fire up the chain saw here!

I’m taking the digital camera along, so hopefully I’ll have  some decent pictures to share when I get home.
