Camp was great!

We got there mid-morning on Saturday and found ankle-deep leaves and knee-deep weeds growing all over the lot. YUK! Before we closed the camp last fall, we gathered up 30+ bags. So we grabbed the leaf blower and the rake, and tore into it.

Nine giant bags later, we could see the ground again. Then it was a matter of turning the water on, restacking the firewood, and generally cleaning up the place from over the winter.

I didn’t take any “before” pictures. It was too ugly, and I was too busy. But here are a few “after” shots:

Here is our cabin. The right side is the old camper; the left side is the room we added on.

This is the newly restacked wood pile, along with the dogs’ cabin and the bathhouse in the background. (There’s a lot more wood under the tarp.) Notice the rope to which Jolson, our little Houdini, is securely tied!

Let’s face it: The big attraction is the lake. Isn’t it gorgeous?
