Marisa’s husband Brian and son Nick are outside playing. Only when they play, it’s with REAL “big boy toys.”
They have a track-hoe and a Bobcat out there and have ripped the porch from the side of their house. They have also removed the giant flower box from out front.
Brian says he also wants to remove the chain-link fence from between our property and replace part of it with some stockade fencing. He’s obviously been thinking about this for quite awhile.
The most shocking part from where I sit is the big gaping hole where the deck used to be. I told Marisa to watch that first step out of her kitchen door now, because it’s a real doozy!
I can hardly wait to see what it all looks like once Brian gets everything done. He really is a wonderful craftsman, and I know it’ll be just beautiful. As for Marisa, here’s one more reason for her to stay inside — at least for a little while!!!

I love that picture! And the red brick on the house…drooling. I think we need more pictures of Marisa and her house. And yours too, of course!
Brian is a fantastic mason. The herringbone brick work on the chimney of his garage is outrageous! (That’s a picture for another post!)
As for my house, it pales in comparison…
Tell Marissa to open that door, then get a picture of her! LOL!
