Something pretty special is underway today.  The folks at BlogCatalog are joining together again, this time to raise some much-needed money for a really super cause.

To quote from their website, DonorsChoose.org  “is a simple way to provide students in need with resources that our public schools often lack. At this not-for-profit web site, teachers submit project proposals for materials or experiences their students need to learn.”  How cool is that?  Imagine it for a minute:  Teachers, the people who know better than anyone else just what their students’ needs are, can afford to be creative because somebody out there is willing to subsidize that creativity.

BlogCatalog members are trying to raise $25,000 for schools across America, many of which are in New Orleans and are still struggling to recover from the hurricanes.  With your help, we can raise that much money and more.  These students and teachers need our help.  Let’s show them what we’re all really made of!
