Buddy is sick again.

Just like last time, he’s burning up with fever, and he’s very listless.

One good sign, though, is that with some prodding, he will eat his dinner.

Ever since the big dog food scare, he’s been on a special diet.  We take about three chunks of canned dog food and some of the gravy, mash it up, then mix in a handful of the dry Prescription Diet kibbles which even the vet says is unpalatable on its own.  Then we sprinkle his medicine for the kidney failure on top, and with four other pairs of eyes staring at him, he gobbles the whole thing down.

Getting him to eat this evening was harder than usual, but at least he finally did finish the bowl, and even better, he kept it down.  I just hope the fever breaks soon and he starts feeling better.
