Hot Tub Woes

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

We bought a ThermoSpa hot tub about five years ago, then built the deck to fit to its dimensions.  I must say that, for the most part, we’ve been delighted with it; those aches and pains just melt away, and it’s really nice in the winter.

Just like everything else we’ve ever spent a fortune on, though, the hot tub seems to have known — to the exact date — just when the warranty would expire.  Now we have about ten jets that have turned to mush.

I took the pictures and emailed them to the company, just like the service rep said, only to find out now that these jets are no longer covered by the warranty we also spent a fortune to extend, so replacing them will cost about $300, and we’ll either have to install them ourselves or pay for the added labor and service call.  Needless to say, I’m somewhere between livid and blind right about now.

I wonder how the dag-gone thing will work without the jets in it?
