It’s amazing how much stuff you can accumulate when you’ve lost your “round tuit.”
Today’s project was mounting the party-colored rope lights around the deck railings. We’ve had these things sitting in boxes for several months now, and BJ decided they weren’t doing us much good that way.
They’re not all that hard to mount; all the hardware was included, and the strings themselves just screw together end-to-end, so a single power supply is all that was necessary. But they were a pain in the backside to get the sags out of.
You see, it was pretty hot here this afternoon, and the direct sunlight baking down caused the plastic housings to become even more pliable. Finally, though, we ran out of mounting clips, so we declared it a good job.
Ah, the joys of home ownership. Seems the work is never done! But it’s a definite improvement to our home lighting situation.
