Have you been following the news story about the missing mother of a two-year old baby who is also nine months pregnant?
Jessie Davis went missing over a week ago from her home in Canton, Ohio. Our camp neighbor is a Stark County Sheriff’s Deputy, and he and his wife have two small children. He’s also been actively involved in the search since the first 911 call came in. The stress on his face was heartbreaking.
He was one of the officers sent to the house when Grandma called to say her daughter was gone, and her grandson was home alone. He told me briefly what the baby had said and what they found inside the house, and it doesn’t sound good.
Now, volunteers and cadaver dogs are searching for clues near where a freshly dug hole was found. Cases like this are so hard to handle. My heart goes out to that family — and to the people involved in the investigation.
