I just came in from checking out my little garden and decided to give you all the update.

My scallions are delicious. Not too hot, not too stinky — they’re just right. I plan to enjoy some of those with a sandwich for a light dinner tonight. And maybe I’ll cut some of the Romaine lettuce for a nice salad to go with it.

As for the tomatoes and cucumbers, we’re still waiting. As I was tying up the tomato vines, I noticed a few tiny babies setting on, so it won’t be too much longer now. I planted Romas and a new variety of low-acid yellow tomatoes this year. I’ll let you know after we eat the first fruits. Ditto with the cukes.

OK, now I’m drooling. Nothing like fresh garden veggies!
