Sometimes I wonder what the people who do market research are thinking. It often seems to me that once a good product that works well and is reasonably priced is available, the bean counters come along to nix it. Such was the case yesterday when I tried to find something at Wal Mart.

I was looking for those little plastic drawers inside a plastic frame that you can either sit on a shelf or mount to the wall. I think they’re designed for keeping various nuts, bolts, and screws in order, but I use them for everything from nightlight bulbs to batteries.

I’ve never had trouble finding them at Wal Mart before, but yesterday, there were none. I tried Housewares, Hardware, even Sporting Goods, all to no avail. Guess I’ll have to go to a hardware store and hope they’ll still stock them. They’re handy!
