It’s time once again to renew our home insurance policy.

Why is it that all these annual bills come due at the same time? It seems that, try as we might, we just can’t get them to spread out over the rest of the year.

I’m without life insurance right now; I never picked up another policy once the coverage I had at the radio station went away, so for once in my life, I’m NOT worth more dead, but the car insurance premium had to be sent in a couple of weeks ago.

It always hurts to write those checks, but having the coverage is sweet, especially when something goes horribly wrong. The peace of mind is nice, too, so I guess in the long run, it’s worth it. Swallow hard, and start writing!
