It’s funny how things work out sometimes.
BJ and I enjoy working together downstairs in our stained glass workshop, but we’ve gotten away from it for quite awhile. You know how it is; it’s so easy to get involved in just the day-to-day stuff that the fun parts fall by the wayside.
That is, until I took that picture of the dogs for our canvas portrait. You’ll remember that I had to line them up on the table to get all five of the little darlings sitting still and facing the same direction. And there, in the background, were those stained glass windows we had made several years ago.
It’s weird. I see them every day, right there in the kitchen, but I didn’t really appreciate them the way I used to until I looked at that photograph. Now I’m all fired up about clearing away the clutter that has since accumulated on our work tables and getting back into the groove.
I have a lot of glass since we live relatively close to a couple of factories. One of my favorites I call “fire glass” because it looks like red, yellow, and orange flames. I’m not sure what to use it in to show it off properly, but it sure is pretty!
Once I find the studio again and make something new, I’ll take a picture for you. Any suggestions on what we should make first?
