An Angry Dog

I wonder just how long a pomeranian can carry a grudge.

We went to visit some friends tonight, and they always walk their dog every evening.  BJ decided I should take the two youngsters (Jolson and Buddy) and walk, too.  You see, the other three don’t usually wear their collars because they stay close to us, but those two are the mad wanderers.

Anyway, I agreed, dutifully hooking on the leashes and taking the two problem children outside.  Bandit, as it turns out, was heartbroken.

She’s MY girl.  She perches on the back of the couch behind my head, or she curls up in my lap.  Whenever I’m driving, she rushes to sit on my lap, which ordinarily might pose a problem, but she’s so good.  She never fidgets, and she fits there nicely without interfering with the steering wheel.  In short, she’s the one who is always up my backside.

By the time I returned from the walk, Bandit was both angry and hurt.  It’s been several hours now, and she still won’t have a thing to do with me.  If this isn’t any better by tomorrow morning, I think I’ll try some red meat.  That always works!

ROFL you meanie! ~ I don’t know but I can tell you from experience that a rat terrier can hold a grudge for about half a day before they give up and smother you to death with snuggles! Maybe Penny is just impatient though.

You’ll all be happy to know that I’m back in her good graces now. It’s amazing what a little sliced pepperoni can do!
