Have you been following the high temperatures being reported this week?  My friend Julie lives near Las Vegas, where today’s predicted high is 106 degrees!  It’s triple digits in Montana, too, an area I tend to associate with snow and wind.

Then there are the forest fires.  I guess they call it “dry lightning” — thunderstorms but no rain — that’s combining with dry wood and grass to create big problems.

Of course, there are also big areas of flooding.   Wouldn’t it be nice if we could move some of that water to the areas that need it?

The weather around here has been behaving itself,  but the muggies are moving in.  I’m hoping things calm down once autumn arrives!
