BJ and I are headed to camp this weekend, and I hope it’s not for having to perform storm damage repair.

The nearby town was on the news here at home last night and today, and the pictures were at once scary and impressive.  The National Weather Service says it was a microburst, not a tornado, but with sustained 85-mile-per-hour winds, it was a strong as a moderate tornado, and the damage was just as severe.

The good news is that nobody was hurt.  But it was pretty tense when the firefighters found that an electrical transformer had crashed down onto a big propane tank.  Yikes!

The storms are through the area now, and folks in Salem are in cleanup mode.  I’ll let you know when we get back if we had to join them.
