BJ and I have decided that next year, we’re going on vacation.

Aside from camping and family functions, we haven’t gone anywhere in several years. There’s always been something else to come up that eats away at the vacation savings. This year, it was the soffit and facsia job.

I would love to return to Great Britain. When I was there before, I was in England only. This time, I want to tour Scotland, Ireland, and Wales.

I’d love to check out some hotels in Edinburgh, then travel by car to the sites and hotels in Glasgow, Stirling, and the Highlands. I’m a big history buff, and I just adore poking around in castles and cathedrals.

I’ve seen pictures of the countryside around Wales, too, and it’s just beautiful. There are some lovely hotels in Cardiff.  And with all of these freckles, there’s just no excuse for my not traveling to Ireland to see where my ancestors used to live.

Oh, sure, I’d go back to London in a heartbeat; it’s my favorite big city on earth. But there’s so much more to see and do, and BJ deserves to experience it with me. Unless, of course, we need to replace the furnace….
