You know how it goes. You wait for what seems like forever for that first ripe tomato of the season, only to have more ripe fruits than you could ever possibly eat within about two weeks.
Everybody I know who really enjoys tomatoes has his or her own plants, and they’re all going nuts, so getting rid of the excess is a lot like unloading zucchini. It simply can’t be done.
Also, BJ and I just picked all the apples from our tree. They’re great tasting apples, but unfortunately, the bugs like them, too. We have one of those telescoping poles you use to change light bulbs with; I use it to pick the apples. Time now to go bake a pie!

Ok - I’ll take some tomatoes. Mine aren’t ripe yet. I do know what you mean about waiting forever and then suddenly having so many. I know that’s what is going to happen to me, too.
Now if we can just figure out how to get them to you without them being destroyed!
