We’ve had an unusually dry summer so far, and while drought has never been an issue (it was a really wet winter and spring), some area gardeners have been hoping for some rain to spring those veggies, flowers, and lawns back to green from brown.  Be careful what you wish for; you just might get it.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Erin are moving through today, and we’ve had some serious gulleywashers.  Several counties in our area are under flash flood warnings.  And while forecasters are calling for two or three inches of rain today, they say five inches are certainly possible.

Oh, well.  At least the heat wave is over!
