My, goodness, but it’s hot out there!
And since it is, I’ve decided to put the rolled shingle roof on the porch at camp.
I went to Lowes today and picked up the materials, and we’re headed up there this weekend once my Saturday morning class is ended. BJ promises to keep me full of cold drinks, and the heat helps seal against leaks.
The rolled roofing material is really heavy, but if I measure and cut strips on the ground, it’ll be a lot more manageable. Also, since it’s 36 inches wide instead of those three-tab, five-inch shingles, it should go a lot faster. Now if I can just keep from slicing myself; I don’t have a fancy safety utility knife!
