Well, it finally happened: our washer is now officially dead.
It isn’t like we didn’t see it coming. For a long time now, it’s been leaking oil out onto the floor, either from the motor or from the transmission. It was annoying because it made such a slippery mess, but it didn’t really seem to have any effect on how the thing worked. The water went in and out, and the agitator performed properly. Even the spin cycle was fine.
That is, until yesterday. The blankets, sheets, and pillowcases were in there when it locked up. So of course, BJ and I had to wring the wet linens out by hand, rinse the soap out, then wring them again before we could put them into the dryer.
We’ve had this washer and dryer for close to 20 years, so we really can’t complain. I just wish it had broken down during a load of t-shirts and underwear. Oh, well.
Lowe’s is delivering the new one on Tuesday. I can only hope we get as much service from it as we did this last laundry warrior. And we have a year to pay for it!
This sad appliance update is complements of Phentermine no prescription.

Well, that’s bad news but at the same time, very exciting to get a new appliance! When we sold our last home the buyers actually wanted my washer & dryer so I got to buy new when we moved. This time around I went all out and got the front load machines, I’m really liking them except that I wish I hadn’t put them on the pedestals, it makes them too tall for me to reach over them into the cupboard to get the detergent out!
What did you end up getting? I’m like you, I hope these last a very long time!
We went with the standard top load washer and front load dryer, but they’re a LOT bigger than the old ones. Also, we kept the old dryer, so we can still use it to get the laundry done even quicker.
