Reaching Out

While I was in the hospital, the Patient Advocate (fancy word for the social worker, I guess!) signed me up for some financial assistance from the state.  She went online to do it, and ever since, I’ve been getting phone calls from people wanting to sell me health and-or term life insurance.

Usually, telemarketers make me want to reach through the phone line and choke them, but I’ve been chatting with these folks for some reason.  Maybe the fall knocked something loose in my head as well!

I’m not looking forward to seeing those bills; five days in a trauma unit won’t come cheap. But maybe Carole’s efforts will help relieve the strain.  Or maybe I can buy one of those policies that will work retroactively!
