A DIYer’s Best Friend

Those of you who read my blog regularly know how much I enjoy do-it-yourself projects.  There are a couple of reasons for this.  First, I love that sense of accomplishment I always get from completing a project, and second, I love saving money by doing the work myself.

That’s why I’m excited about a website I’ve just discovered.  It’s called DoItYourself.com, and it offers a lot of easy-to-follow help to folks like me.

I really wish I would have known about this site when I remodeled my bathroom a few years back.  Some of the decisions I made on materials would have been different with guidance like this.  But now, that much-anticipated kitchen remodel will go a lot more smoothly.

That’s because the site has an excellent article on refacing cabinets and another on building wood cabinets for that custom look.  So whether I decide to reface or replace, I’ll be able to do it myself with confidence.  And that’s only the beginning of the great stuff they have  about kitchens.  What’s more, since DVDs are also available for just $14.99 each delivered, or ten for $99.99, I can follow along as I make my way through just about any project.
