Autumn is my favorite season.
I love the fall — the cool, crisp air is always a lot less humid than the summertime conditions, and that means I can breathe more easily. The trees put on their annual magnificent display. I break out my mother’s recipe and have my favorite, pumpkin pie. Football rules.
Still, I know the snowflakes will soon begin to fall. I just wish they would hold off until we get to enjoy those autumnal delights.
We’ve lost 37 degrees this week, going from above-normal temperatures to below normal. The air conditioner is off; the furnace is on. I just want to open the windows and air out the house before sealing it up for the winter. And the trees’ displays of red, gold, and orange are lost whenever they’re covered with snow!
