Do you watch “Criminal Minds” on CBS Wednesday nights?

It’s a great show about FBI profilers and the horrifying things they go through to catch serial killers. It’s gritty, graphic, scary, and all too real. But they went too far this week.

If you’ve TiVoed the show and haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, skip the rest of this — I don’t want to ruin it for you. But for those of you who HAVE already seen it or who just don’t care, there was a disturbing development involving Garcia, the quick witted computer ace who use her talents to keep the team a step ahead of the bad guys, on tonight’s episode.

She fixed this guy’s computer in a coffee shop, and he asked her to lunch, later changing it to dinner. Despite advice to the contrary, she went out with the guy, and after he walked her to her door, he pulled out a gun and shot her!

BJ was shocked, but for some reason, I was expecting something to go wrong. It had no bearing on the case the team was working, so the whole subplot just smelled funny to me. Maybe I’m just too jaded.

Sara Sidle is leaving CSI:, and now, they’re messing around with Garcia. I just hate it when they screw up the chemistry with cast changes. Garcia had better pull through. I guess we’ll find out next week.
