Hey, Tony! How ‘Bout An Autograph?

All things considered, it’s been a rough year for sports fans.

Everyone knows certain baseball players were juicing themselves with anabolic steroids while MLB and the Players’ Association turned a blind eye, but until the Mitchell Report came out this past week, I don’t think anyone realized the scope of the cheating.

Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots took interteam spying to new technological heights and got only a minor slap on the wrist for it. Mike Vick is serving a 23-month Federal sentence for atrocious crimes against dogs and the subsequent cover-up. And then there’s OJ Simpson.

The Creep and some of his thug friends are in trouble in Las Vegas for (allegedly?) storming into a hotel room and stealing a bunch of sports memorabilia. Now there’s light being cast on the whole sordid underbelly of what is for a lot of fans the very enjoyable hobby of collecting souvenirs and autographs from their favorite athletes, movie stars, and other celebrities.

Fortunately, there’s a place fans can go for top-drawer collectibles while avoiding the scum in the pond. It’s called Millionaire Memorabilia, and they feature sports, movies, music, and historical items sure to please any collector.

The quality is indisputable, as you can see from this montage from my favorite TV show. So while there are some real characters out there, you can “fuggetaboutit” by dealing with people who are above board like the folks at millionairememorabilia.com. Oh, and if this little item should show up under MY Christmas tree, I certainly wouldn’t mind!
