Thanks, Pat!
Our camping neighbor sends us cookies for Christmas every year, and they arrived via UPS this morning.
Pat and her husband Mike are wonderful people. When Auntie Pat comes to visit the pups, she always has her pockets full of treats. Buddy has a hard time warming up to people he doesn’t know well, but he took to Pat immediately. Skittish little Bandit springs onto her lap even before she has a chance to sit down. They all just love her!
We love her, too. She decided one evening that since BJ and I had been working on the cabin all day, she was going to fix us dinner. We had grilled pork chops, corn on the cob, and more. It was so good — and so appreciated.
Mike spends most days on one of his seven boats. He’s an avid fisherman and sailor. But he generally leaves the pontoon tied to the dock right behind their camper, just in case Pat wants to go for a ride. She often invites us to go, too.
You’re right, Pat — four more months before we all return to camp! I can hardly wait. Merry Christmas!
