I, for one, am eagerly awaiting the end of the writers’ strike.

When did they start calling reruns “encore performances”?  I hate it!!  Oh, sure, I understand how and why bean counters and paper pushers can and do spin everything under the sun, but c’mon!  I’ve already seen this episode seven times.  It’s a rerun.

A&E is one of my favorite networks, but they do “CSI:Miami” to death.  TNT’s “The Closer” is a great show, but I know about 80 percent of the dialog.  Still, I have come to expect that from cable networks like this.  It’s when the Big Three follow along that my teeth start to ache from all that jaw clenching.

I’ll be okay this week, what with all of the college bowl games, and I realize nobody wants to waste new shows on smaller audiences when many regular viewers are out Christmas shopping and visiting in-laws.  But if things don’t settle down and get back to fresh episodes soon, I may just have to have a stroke.
