My new friend Stinkypaw over at Stories2Tell has tagged me for a meme, and I’m taking her up on the challenge for several reasons.
First, while she’s a relatively new friend, she’s also become a good one, and I like to do whatever I can for my friends. It’s neighborly. And maybe, if I’m ever in Montreal, I can crash at her place….
Second, I don’t get tagged all that much, so it’ll be interesting to see how well I can do this.
And third, the idea itself rather appeals to me. Since I’m a big history buff, the thought of revisiting this blog and choosing some past posts to highlight again is pretty cool.
So here goes, and here are the rules:
1) Go back through your archives and post links to five favorite blog posts that you’ve written. But there is a catch:
a) Link 1 must be about family.
b) Link 2 must be about friends.
c) Link 3 must be about yourself, who you are… what you’re all about.
d) Link 4 must be about something you love.
e) Link 5 can be about anything you choose.
2) Post your five links, and then tag five other people. At least TWO of the people you tag must be newer acquaintances so that you get to know each other better.
Allrighty, then… Post 1 for “Family” was from a very sad day not so long ago. Here’s my tribute to Heidi, our precious little dachshund girl who left us late last year. Post 2 for “Friends” was a meme tag, actually, about who our best friends are. Post 3, “Myself,” is a tough one. I’m beginning to realize what a narcissist I really am! But I’ve chosen the first post I ever wrote, since that’s where I introduce myself most formally to you all. Maybe one day I’ll do the “100 Things” entry….
Choosing something I love for Post 4 is harder still. I’m passionate about so many things! So I’ve settled in on one I think will further reacquaint us as well as fulfill the requirements.
Finally the wild card, Post 5. This post deals with a few of the things I really enjoy: my neighbor, home improvement, and heavy machinery/power tools. (It was a toss-up between this and something about going to camp.)
So whom shall I tag? Well, how’s about Leigh (trains, kids, pets, and the Rocky Mountains are only the beginning on this blog), FishHawk (he always makes me think), Lynne (a North Texas mom with a lot to say), Johann (probably my all-time favorite agility dog — and he types well with those big paws!), and YOU — if you’re interested. The way I understand the rules, this meme is strictly voluntary, so if you wanna play, c’mon in!

Thanks for the tag, this one was very interesting, sort of makes us reflect on what we’ve been writing.
Glad you liked it, Lynne! I look forward to reading your response!
The comment I had left yesterday seemed to have gone into “lala land”…
Thank you for doing this, it’s a fun way to get to know you better. I enjoyed that.
And if ever you make your way to Montreal know that I’ll gladly be your guide, and my door is always open.
Actually, Stinky, it was fun revisiting some of those older posts. Glad you enjoyed it!
I experience that cyber la-la land thing myself quite a bit. I know just enough about this stuff to be dangerous!
