It’s been one of those days.
Things started out badly enough when I pulled a muscle between a couple of ribs this morning. It’s been really painful all day. It even hurts to breathe.
The weather hasn’t helped much. We started out with freezing rain and sleet, which covered the roads and everything else in ice. The temperature climbed above freezing, fortunately, but the rain was relentless. Several roads were closed because the creeks were flooded. Then the rain changed to snow. I’m feeling sore and soggy.
We’ll see what happens in the morning when Punxatauney Phil is dragged from his burrow. But at this point, if the rodent sees a shadow, I’m ready to go groundhog hunting. C’mon, spring!

Damn. I think he saw his shadow. I know what you mean about the freezing rain. I’m sick and tired of spreading salt and sand.

Yeah, he did, but it’s hard to imagine how, what with all the stormy weather. I think it must have been the lights from all those TV cameras.
