I’m sick and tired of not having a cell phone.
I lost the last phone I had last February when the radio station laid me off. It was my phone, but when I was hired, the boss said he would transfer the contract to the station’s bill and pay for everything if I would agree to use it at least part of the time to fulfill my duties as News Director. Since I always used my own phone for that purpose anyway, and since the whole idea of not having to pay that bill any longer appealed to me a lot, I agreed. But then I had to turn it over, along with my keys.
I knew I used the phone quite a bit, not an outrageous amount, but I never realized how much I relied on it until I no longer had it. So it’s been just about a year now, and I still really miss it. And since my 50th birthday is coming up next month, I’m lobbying hard.
I really want a Tracfone. I’ve checked out all the prepaid companies, and they seem to offer the best deal. I don’t want to tie myself up in another two-year contract with one of the “regular” cell phone companies, either.
It’s not like I’m asking for a pop up tv or anything, so I’m figuring this might just work. If anyone would like to send me a birthday card with a Tracfone prepaid minutes card inside, I would sure be grateful!
