Waiting For Justice For Jessie

Well, I guess it’s about to come full circle.

I told you here about first finding out a few details in the case of the murder of Jessie Davis. Court TV Tru TV has been televising the capital murder trial of one Bobby L. Cutts, Jr., the father of Jessie’s unborn baby girl Chloe and her two-year-old son Blake. Cutts admits he killed her but claims it was an accident.

It’s really weird to see this case covered so intently on national television. Maybe it’s because I heard the “off-the-record” version first from my camp neighbor the cop. Maybe it’s because of his reaction to suspecting a fellow officer. His son is about the same age as Blake, who was left alone in the murder house for 26+ hours and told him that “Mommy broke the table. Daddy was mad at Mommy.” The whole thing really hit my friend hard, and watching this trial has brought back his distress to me.

I’ve sat through several capital murder trials for the radio, but that was different. There was always a certain professional detachment for me in those cases. This one is personal. I hope they fry the SOB.

    Tammie,
Just an FYI, our camper cop, has left the force. He is working in insurance, same place as his wife. I’m not sure, but I have a strong feeling that this case may have played a role in this decision. Also they have sold their cottage. Father & Mother - in - law have purchased. They bought a log home down by Tappan Lake. Wat a commute to Canton.!

I knew they had sold the cabin, but I didn’t know about the job change. He’s been sort of MIA ever since this happened, though, so your theory makes sense. What a shame — Bobby Cutts takes another victim!
