Valentine’s Day sure was busy for my brother’s bloodhounds.
Ellie and Clem are the proud parents of nine — count ‘em — NINE! puppies. Aren’t they precious?
This was Ellie’s first litter, and she’s doing so well. She’s a very doting mama. She’s proud of her babies and doesn’t mind at all if somebody comes by to visit. Petting is fine, too, but she gets a little nervous if anyone tries to pick a pup up and hold it.
One pup is black and tan; the other eight are red. There are seven boys and two girls. And Ellie is one tired pooch, bless her heart. Maybe my brother should get her a nice Emily crib to hold the brood.

HI and Congrats to everone! Emma had eight pups early in 2007 by
C-section. She had labored all day and they were such big pups she
just couldn’t get them turned to come out. We lost one when Emma
accidentally slept on one and crushed it but the other seven did great
and I had them house trained by the time they were ready to go to
their new owners. It’s a lot of work and a lot of fun. Good-luck!
Oh, these pups are HUGE! They already fill both hands!
And since you’re so good at potty training, c’mon up and get my four. I’m gonna kill ‘em!
Oh my word. I want one. Or 8. LOL!
Three are already spoken for, Amy, but the rest are available.
Ellie looks exhausted, but she has every right to be proud of those pups! They’re so cute!
Thanks, Lynne. I just LOVE puppies!
