Did you watch the Oscars last night?  Did you care?

I was flipping back and forth, so admittedly, I missed about as much as I caught, but I have to tell you, the parts I did see left me a little cold.

First, there was Jon Stewart.  He was horrible!  Talk about a fish out of water!  His jokes weren’t at all funny; he just appeared mean and uncomfortable.

Then there was the slippery spot on the floor.  You would think these people could afford a mop.  And who spilled what, anyhow?

As for the winners, I must admit I had never heard of a lot of them.  I’m sure they are all very happy, but I really don’t care about it.

It seems the Academy has decided to honor the weird, the artsy, the not very popular,  That’s fine, but don’t be shocked when mere mortals living away from LaLaLand don’t sit up and take notice.
