If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you’ve no doubt learned that I am officially sick of this winter.  Well, here we go again.

There’s a big low pressure system over top of us right now, and it’s dumping snow all over the place.  But believe it or not, that’s the GOOD news!

I took BJ to work last night.  That shoulder still isn’t quite right, and since we were getting quite a bit of freezing rain, sliding into a ditch and then trying to figure out how to get back out wasn’t an appealing option.  We both decided the Jeep would be the safest bet.

When I went out to get in the car, I almost went down on that half-inch of ice coating our steps and the street in front of the house.  It was smooth as glass, and twice as slippery.  What’s more, the Jeep looked like a flash-frozen chicken wing.  It too was encased in ice, and the doors were frozen shut.

We chipped out, creeped along, and made it there and back in one piece.  But it was more of an adventure than either of us wanted.

I’ve heard all about greenhouse gases, but right now, I’m praying for a little of that warmth.  This is ridiculous!
