Well, we had our final choir practice tonight before the Easter Sunday cantata.  If you would have asked me a week ago about it, I would have put up a good front, but honestly, I was a little concerned.  Easter is SO early this year, and one of the side effects of that is less rehearsal time to pull something of this magnitude together.

Oh, sure, I know Lent is always 40 days long, so it shouldn’t be a big surprise when Easter gets here, but hey!  The weather hasn’t exactly been cooperative this winter, and it wasn’t THAT long ago that we were working on the Christmas Eve music!  So yeah, I was a little worried.

I’m feeling MUCH better about all of it tonight.  It’s amazing how much more together the music is this week when compared to last.  We’ll probably never be 100% confident, but I think the congregation will really enjoy this.  Our director picked some very good music, and it sounded so pretty tonight.  Keep your fingers crossed for us Sunday morning!
