Spring Break is over, and it’s back to the classroom this afternoon.
In a way, I’m glad. Now we push forward to those final research papers, final exams — and summertime!
This has been a strange semester for a number of reasons. First, it’s been awhile since I’ve done any teaching (aside from the two weeks before shattering my pelvis last fall), so simply being engaged in lesson planning, paperwork, and grading has taken more concentration than usual. The hours spent in the classroom are the fun and easy ones; it’s everything else that’s a grind.
Second, I was split between two campuses, teaching both full-term and accelerated classes, so simply keeping track of where to be when was pressing hard on my little brain. Now that the half-term classes are ended, that should be a lot easier, too.
I’ll return papers I graded last week, and we’ll talk about a bunch of poetry. Yeah, it’ll be fun.

I can’t believe you wrote summer is on its way, it so doesn’t feel nor look like it is!!!! Argh!
True enough, Stinky, but Easter is over –and hope springs eternal!
