Like a lot of other people, I have a bunch of old electronics equipment I’m not using any more. But what I can’t figure out is how that stuff managed to reproduce itself like a nest of rabbits.
How do four old cables stuck in a drawer morph into twenty-three cables of a type I can’t even identify? How, when I wrapped them so carefully before storage, did they turn into a mass of spaghetti? Where did that printer come from, and what computer does it go with? I never had a scanner like that, did I?
It’s time for some serious cleaning around here!

Of course it is! It’s Spring!!!
I have a huge drawer full of old telephones, cables, extension cords, and other stuff that I decided, at some point, should be grouped together. You know what the saddest part is?–that I actually moved to another state with ALL of it, simply because I couldn’t deal with sorting it! However, I found a wonderful book for people like me (us??)–It’s called “Buried in Treasures,” by Tolin, et al. There is hope!
Do you have any idea how much trouble I would get into if I said I was bringing another book into this house!?
Thanks for the suggestion, though — I’ll check into it!
