Easy Piano Lesson – The Basics
When you're just beginning with your easy piano lesson, it is always best to begin with something you can be familiar with easily. {How about the Middle C}? You're not familiar with it? It is the key that can be found right at the center of the piano. If you know what a C key looks like, you could easily find the middlemost C key on your keyboard.
From there, you could work out the meanings of the note, scale, octave, chord and chord progression.
For your initial lesson, rest your thumb on the Middle C. This is what is called the first position. Note that each finger on your hands have their corresponding numbers in piano lessons. The thumb is your finger number one and the rest of the fingers correspond to numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5. In the 1st position, your thumb or your number one finger should rest on Middle C. You will observe that in many piano lessons, the number one position often involves two thumbs, but for now, the right thumb will do.
Moving on, set all your fingers in their positions. Now, press each key lightly from Middle C until you reach the next C. This is what you call a scale, specifically C Major scale. Note that in this scale, only white keys are used. This scale only uses white keys although all other scales use a combination of black and white keys.
Using this scale, you can start creating several different chords. Chords are any group of notes that are played as a group. From the C Major scale, you can form a number of different chords. Now place your number one finger on the Middle C again. Now press the Middle C, the key one white key away from it, and the key 1 white key after that – C-E-G. What you just completed is the C major chord triad. A triad just like this one is a chord that requires three different notes. Other chords require 2 or more notes.
One chord that may be formed using the keys of the C major scale is the F Major chord. This chord is formed with 3 notes, F-A-C. Now go ahead and try playing this chord.
At this point, you should notice something? Both the C major and F major chords are composed of chords that make up a pattern. This pattern is called the chord formula.
For major chords, the pattern is root key, four halftones and three halftones. Remember that a halftone is the smallest possible interval between two notes. On the piano or keyboard, this could be identified as the interval between two keys – from one white key to the black key beside it, or from one black key to the white key beside it.
As you progress with your piano lessons, you will become familiar with the patterns for each chord group. Now, with the use of the formula for major chords, find the keys that comprise of the G major chord.
This easy piano lesson ends with a basic lesson on chord progression. Remember all the chords you have just been taught? Play all these chords one after another and finish it off with playing the C Major. Now, you are on to something.

im looking for the older type initial ring in silver. the longer ones that that wrap around your finger an about 2" long or so with three initials. my fiance wants one for valentines day, i know you ladies know where to get them. i have searched all over so i decided to ask you guys to help solve my little problem
Well I live in Louisiana,and I know of two places where they are sold.One in the mall,usually at one of the little jewelry stands in the walking area that are not actually a store.They usually offer sterling silver and yellow gold.The second being Cracker Barrel ( The Resturant) I know that they are all over the country,and most have a jewelry stand inside that offers several diffrent types of innital jewelry,including the style you are looking for,and same as the mall,offer it in white gold or sterling silver.Hope this helps!Good luck!
