My neighbor Marisa is the best thing since sliced bread. No, really, she is!
I spend almost as much time in her kitchen drinking coffee in my jammies as I do in my own. Belle the pit bull doesn’t even bark when she hears me walking around to the back door anymore. She loves her Auntie Tammie. And Marisa makes a mean cup pot of coffee.
And now, my little laptop is a LOT less pathetic, thanks to my wonderful neighbor. I was whining because I was getting all these error messages, and the doggone thing was slower than molasses in January. So she took a look and diagnosed the problem. Not nearly enough memory.
I was blindly plugging along on the RAM that came with the machine, 256K. I got a 1-gig stick on Marisa’s recommendation, and she installed it for me, right alongside the pathetic little stick I already had. And WOW! What a difference!
You don’t realize how crappy what you already have is until it’s so much better. Thank you, Marisa. You absolutely ROCK! Would a nice arrangement of silk flowers be appropriate here?

I don’t know about the silk flowers, but she sure deserves a big hug!
That — and coffee and dill pickles! (Not traditional, certainly — but she would like that!)
Just that trip to the Highlands, when I get “caught up.” I haven’t forgotten.
You got it, Sweetie. Just let me know when!
