According to the TV weather dude, it has rained here on 16 of the 18 days so far this month.  To be honest, I’m not sure we’ve missed even two days!

We did manage to get the garden planted one day between the showers, and the tomato, pepper, and radish plants are all looking good.  The carrots and cucumbers have yet to break through the surface.  They’re probably still waiting for some sunshine.

While it’s nice not to have to go outside and water everything, I still wish we could have a few nice, sunny, warm days.  Next weekend is Memorial Day, and we’re planning on spending it at camp, but I don’t really want to have to hold an umbrella over the campfire just to get it going.  The wet weather really attracts the mosquitoes, too, especially when we turn on the outdoor lighting in the evenings.

It’s not like I’m hoping for a drought or anything; I just don’t want my skin to be all pruny anymore.  Rain, rain, go away!
