“I Can See My House From Here!”

Poor Bird.

To get him ready for the week-long camping trip beginning this weekend, I took the play top off his new cage and replaced it with his old smaller cage, also known as his “camper.”

I can tell by the look in his eyes that he sort of remembers the old cage, and he’s thrilled to be able to climb so high (well over six feet) from the floor.  But he’s still scared of it, and he can’t figure out why the upward view from inside his new cage is so different.

I think he thinks I’m trying to torture him, but since he’s never seen the cabin, I’m hoping he feels a little more comfortable in the small cage once he gets there.  I may live to regret this.

Oh, well.  At least we don’t need to change his food or give him diet pills!

BJ has taken to calling him “Hannibal” — as in Lechter. He can get SO weird!
