Pumpkin Pie, Here I Come!

We went up to camp this weekend. When the remnants of Hurricane Ike came through here, it was still packing quite a wallop in the wind category, and for almost two weeks, the entire area was without power. We knew there were several trees down and such, but we wanted to make sure all was well structurally and take advantage of the free firewood.
The weather was absolutely perfect. Temperatures during the day were in the upper 70s. At night, lows were in the 60s. The forecast was calling for scattered showers, but the only light rain we had arrived about ten minutes after we got into bed, lasting for a couple of hours, then clearing before morning.
We made light work of the debris removal, and the wood pile is once again in good shape. Now, it’s back to football, too many snack foods, and the annual search for the best weight loss pill as Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner.

Now there’s a way to take advantage of nature – you go girl!
Just lovin’ it!
